Breaking News: Duterte camp unfazed by survey results - The camp of presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte remained unfazed by the recent Pulse Asia survey, saying his numbers are “steadily advancing.”
“The recent Pulse Asia survey results give us more encouragement to work harder on the ground, motivated by the trust of the people on Rodrigo Duterte’s political agenda of genuine change for the Filipino and the country,” Peter Laviña, Duterte’s spokeman said in a statement on Friday.
Laviña said their camp was “heartened and inspired” from the overwhelming support of the people.

“On the ground, we are heartened and inspired by the positive and overwhelming responses from the people since we hit the campaign trail,” Laviña said.
He said “the survey do not reflect what we believe are the real sentiments of the Filipinos.”
“We have seen our numbers steadily advancing overall. But we have also seen where we are weak and need to catch up, as well as recognize, where we are making great nowadays,” he said.
The latest poll survey results show that Duterte and administration bet Mar Roxas were in a tie in second place with 21 points. Meanwhile, Senator Grace Poe and Vice President Jejomar Binay were statistically tied in the first place.

Despite trailing behind front-runners Poe and Binay, Laviña said Duterte still has “plenty of time to move up.”
“We will remain remain vigilant and be on the lookout and will continue to work very hard for the victory of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte in the May 2016 presidential elections,” he said.
